We are not certified to recondition/repaint any helmet shells for field-use. We are only certified to recondition the facemasks specifically. How to Order a Custom Helmet
All custom orders are handled by the creative team behind our YouTube channel. There is no way to formally request strictly just a custom helmet build on our website. To get started on your custom helmet order, you must submit a YouTube experience inquiry here. Once the inquiry is submitted, a team member will schedule a call with you if you qualify. They will help you work out all of the details of the build. You will not be required to appear in the video, but the build may be used in our social media content.

How does facemask reconditioning work?
Facemasks are brought to us in varying conditions. When they arrive they are inspected for bends, weld breaks, and spreading. Facemasks that pass inspection are sent to remove the existing coating in a chemical bath. When the bare metal masks come back, they are heated and hand-dipped in a thermoplastic powder coating, then sealed with heat and hung to cool. How can I get my helmet to last longer?
Clean your helmet, and do it well! You should clean the inside and outside with mild detergent and warm water. Protect your helmet. While it is made for hits, don't throw it around. Treat it like an important piece of equipment. Store it properly. Helmets should be kept somewhere that isn't too hot or too cold. Store it in a bag or on a Football Helmet Hanger. Get your helmet reconditioned and re-certified for game use!

What's the difference between the Adult and Youth Schutt F7 helmets?
Similar to the Riddell SpeedFlex, there is no difference in the shell sizing measurements. The Youth Medium carries the same measurements as the Adult Medium. Any Schutt F7 facemask will fit a Youth and/or Adult helmet.

Which facemask hardware should I use: Standard, Light Weight, or HS4?
Facemask clips are designed specifically for a certain gauge metal. Lightweight clips will only fiter thicker gauge, light weight facemasks. HS4 Clips will only fit HS4 facemasks with a thinner gauge metal. Standard Facemask clips are your standard clips for most of your Speed facemasks.

Why do I have a gap between my facemask and helmet?
In order for the facemasks to be able to transition between the sizes, you will have that gap. The smaller the helmet, the bigger the gap will be between the facemask. Adding a Visor may help close the gap.

How do I remove and attach the facemask on my SpeedFlex helmet?
You'll beed to start with the right tools: a screwdriver or powder drill and a Riddell Quick Release Tool. To remove the facemask, use your Quick Release Tool or screwdriver and poke the center button of the pins to disengage them. Life the facemask clips to remove the pins and set them aside.
