Meet The Team - Travis

We thought it was about time you got to know us. And by us, we mean all of us. We're going to introduce the members of the GG team one at a time. This week, it's Travis!

What does Travis do at Green Gridiron?

He is the shipping leader and runs Green Gridiron's Instagram page. Being in shipping, he gets to see and build a lot of helmet designs that are on their way out from our shop.

What’s his favorite part about being on the Green Gridiron team?

Travis loves seeing how creative customers can be with their collectibles. So many of our customers come up with designs that are outstanding and Travis gets to witness them all. It's amazing to see the work that our customers do!

When he's not working for us, what does he like to do?

Travis: 

Travis has an impressive and beautiful collection of USC Gamecocks helmets. He has several builds that are based on players, throwback looks, and more. He's even taken a shot at designing something black-and-garnet-beautiful as well. Just look at that paint job...

How did Travis find his team and get into helmet building?

He was raised by his dad to be a Gamecock. From the moment he could speak, he's been a die-hard Cocks fan.

He used to be an avid golfer, but once he had kids, he focused his time on something that kept him at home, but fueled his love for the Cocks: helmet building. He's been at it for a few years now and has quite the collection. 

What’s Travis' helmet building process?

Travis always has new ideas in his head of his next build. He's used pieces from Green Gridiron, collabed with @omghelmets to paint the shells, and even got official USC decals from the coach.

What’s something else we don’t know about Travis?

Travis is a family man with a wife and two kids. That family also includes 14 USC helmets made by Travis. He has a room in his house devoted to his USC gear! You'll have to tune in on YouTube to see his setup. The video is attached above!

So, that's Travis! He's such an essential part of our team. He curates the content on Instagram, and dwells in the heart of our operations. Travis knows your orders better than anyone and builds them to perfection. 

Being a South Carolina business, it makes perfect sense that we have Gamecocks fans on our team. We have the biggest and best Cocks fanatic with Travis!
