Custom Helmets for Betr

The team at Betr reached out to us looking to build a helmet for their business. They wanted a helmet that’s both unique and bespoke, so they left the job to us! As a fantasy sports betting agency, Betr’s mission specializes in making sports betting easier and better with micro-betting. Betr was founded by Joey Levy and Jake Paul. The two decided to take their love for fantasy sports and combine it with football helmets to bring an excellent final product that perfectly showcases their brand on a fully customized helmet. After seeing Paul and Levy’s reaction to their first build, they couldn’t stop at just one custom helmet, and opted for a second fully custom build!

Attention to Detail

When crafting the first Betr helmet, we knew right off the bat to put thought into every detail. We started with a paint job, similar to the Miami Dolphins helmet shell. This was the perfect canvas for their build, as Betr HQ being located right in Miami.

One of the awesome things about Betr is their unique lighting bolt logo and “Betr Pink” color. Taking this detail into consideration, we decided to get an SF-2BD-SW Facemask for SpeedFlex, and had it custom painted in their Betr Pink color. The facemask, combined with their striking chrome pink side decals, really started to pull everything together. We didn’t stop there, however.

Finishing Touches

Pulling elements together from the Betr brand such as their logo and slogan, we gave this helmet the full custom treatment. For the center stripe, we took their slogan of “just got betr” and stacked the text in rows to create this brick-layed pattern that you can see below. We also added custom 3D Bumpers, and then put together these 4, 1” award decals that are used in Betr’s Combat Club Merch.

When One Isn’t Enough…

After seeing the final product of the first build, the folks at Betr were blown away. We go into most custom projects with the hope to form long lasting relationships with our clients. Our goal is to work towards creating even more builds together and that’s exactly what happened here! Levy and Paul were so satisfied and impressed with their first Betr helmet, that they decided to make a second one! For the second helmet, they knew exactly what they wanted.

Betr recently hosted a 50K League for fantasy football where betters play to win. The only issue is, that they didn’t yet have a physical prize to be won. That’s where we came in. The Betr folks reached out, looking for a second custom helmet build to serve as a prize for the winner of their 50K League. Since this build would be used as a trophy, the only option here was to make this helmet a fully gilded showpiece.

Go Bold, Go Gold

After announcing the winner of the 50K League: Handshake Bets, our work got started. We began this build by having a Riddell SpeedFlex shell treated with gold chrome. The motto for this build was “Gold Everything”, so of course, we had the facemask custom painted in gold as well. Every detail down to the valve caps and strap-locs, were painted gold chrome.

We chose black accents such as black facemask clips, a black SportStar Victory T-Rex Hurricane Chinstrap, and black buckle adapters, in order to make the gold pop. In addition, we paid homage to the winner with the black and gold chrome decal bumpers sitting on the front and rear of the helmet. The front reads “50K League”, with the winner name “Handshake Bets” on the rear bumper.

The best and most tedious part of this build was yet to come. Being a trophy helmet, it would feel wrong to not add any bling to the Betr logo side decal. That’s when the idea came to fully cover the lighting bolt logo decal in crystals on both sides. Though tedious, decking this build out in crystals was totally worth it. With the final touch of a SHOC Zero G Plus Visor in 24K Gold, our second Betr helmet build was complete!
