SportStar QuickClick for Chinstraps

New Product Alert!

We’re excited to introduce a new product to our catalog that has been a long time coming! We have supplied SportStar products for many years to provide our customers with high-quality helmet accessories and hardware, such as their Victory T-Rex Hurricane Hard Cup Chinstraps, and colored Chinstrap Buckles.
Many customers love and stand by SportStar accessories, namely their Hard Cup Chinstraps. The only issue is: they aren’t compatible with Riddell’s Cam-Loc system on SpeedFlex Helmets - that is until recently.

SportStar announced their newest chinstrap solution, the QuickClick Chinstrap Adapter.

Changing the Chinstrap Game

Innovation in football helmet technology is steadily on the rise, and SportStar dove into this by delivering a product that innovates the way we use chinstraps. The QuickClick by definition is a chinstrap fastening solution that allows the user to have a more secure connection to the helmet. Currently, the QuickClick are only compatible with Riddell SpeedFlex and Axiom helmet models; SportStar is looking to branch out to more helmet models in the future. We’ve already begun to see many NFL players switch to the QuickClick adapter, as it’s been shown to provide a secure, repeatable, and consistent fit than the traditional “pull to tighten” connection that we see with Chinstrap Buckles and Cam-Locs. The “Click” connection confirms that your chinstrap is securely fastened and connected every time.

How Does it Work?

The streamlined approach that the QuickClick brings to the table helps players spend less time adjusting, and more time playing. Designed to function like a seatbelt, the QuickClick snaps directly into the housing, making an almost effortless connection. To dis-engage, all you have to do is click the button on the side and it will easily release the bottom strap. The QuickClick is the same size as the Cam-Loc Housing, which perfectly fits on the Riddell SpeedFlex or Axiom Helmets. The QuickClick attaches to the housing in the same manner as a Cam-Loc by using the same Thumb Screws on the backside.

After installing the QuickClick into the housing using Thumb Screws, the QuickClick can now be fitted to a player in just four easy steps.

Step 1:

Hold the chin cup up to your chin at the desired comfort and fit, and mark the chinstrap strap where it meets the QuickClick housing.

Step 2:

Once you have marked the strap, you can slide it through the “Click” buckle, just slightly passing the line you marked earlier. Take the remaining strap and insert it into the other part of the buckle. This will ensure that the fit of the straps will be on par with measurement previously made.

Step 3:

After the strap is secured in the buckle, you can now trim off any excess for a cleaner look. We recommend leaving at least an inch or two of slack on the strap, in case any adjustments need to be made.

Step 4:

Lastly, click the buckle into the housing. Repeat this step on the other side of the helmet and you are ready to go!

Why We Love the QuickClick

One of the best things about QuickClick is that it ensures a properly fitted chinstrap every time, this means no buckle adjustments, and no pesky chinstrap stoppers falling out on you. Additionally, the button to release the QuickClick from its housing gives much easier access than with the traditional buckles and cam-locs. The button itself is both wider and deeper, which supports players who wear gloves or have bigger fingers.
